As a result of a major earthquake fire, flooding, a train derailment, or other emergency situations, police and fire medical personnel can be overwhelmed by calls for emergency incidents. If you or other members of your family have not sustained significant injuries, you could be on your own for up to three days. As such, you would need to provide for your own food and drinking water, your own first aid, and you could be without water, gas and electrical services. Are you comfortable with your family’s preplanning efforts for such as situation? And for your home and vehicles?
