City ordinance allows residents to conduct garage and yard sales no more than two times per year on the same property. These sales may not include new merchandise brought in specifically for the sale, nor are commercial sales permitted in city residential zones. No permit is required for a garage or yard sale. Advertising signs may be placed only on private property with the owner's permission and the signs must be removed following the sale. Signs are not permitted in the public right-of-way or on utility poles.
