SANITATION
Sanitary sewer service in the City of Camarillo is provided by the Camarillo Sanitary
District, except for the area easterly of Calleguas Creek and northerly of the Ventura Freeway. Sewer service to that area is provided by the Camrosa Water District. The Camarillo Sanitary District maintains sanitary sewer lines in city streets.
Residents are
urged to refrain from disposing of cooking grease and large foreign objects in the sewer system. Should a sewer blockage develop in the city's lines between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, please call 388-5332. After business hours, or on weekends and holidays, please call 388-5325 for assistance. A stoppage crew will be dispatched as soon as possible. For new sanitary sewer connections in the Camarillo Sanitary District, a Camarillo Sanitary District Permit application must be completed and the appropriate fees paid. The applications and fee information is available in the Public Works Department located at City Hall, 601 Carmen Drive. Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. For detailed information regarding sanitary sewer services, call the Public Works Department at 388-5340.
