Welcome to the City of Camarillo's CAT. We're here to help you get around the city safely and efficiently. Our Fixed Route bus travels the city, stopping at predetermined locations, while our Dial-A-Ride bus operates on a reservation basis. There is also a link to the Ventura County transit system to help you travel outside the city limits.

What is Camarillo Area Transit Dial-A-Ride?
The CAT Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is a curb-to-curb transit service, similar to a taxi service. This service is available to the general public and will take you anywhere within the Camarillo city limits. However, the DAR bus is not intended to replace school buses, as space is limited. Therefore, reservations will not be taken for students to travel to and from school. All DAR buses are clearly marked for identification. They are equipped with two-way radio systems, wheelchair ramps and tiedowns.

What kind of rides and how many may I reserve?
Rides may be made for any purpose, such as medical appointments, work, shopping or other personal business, with the exception of rides to and from school. Shopping bags are limited to three (3) bags per rider. When you call to make a reservation, you may place as many requests for trips as you wish. More than one (1) failure to cancel will remove you from making advance reservations.

Transportation Services For The Elderly
The City provides general public dial-a-ride service to everyone in Camarillo. Dail-a-ride is a door to door service. All of the dial-a-ride vehicles are equipped for wheelchairs. Service is provided to all destinations within the city limits. The fare is $1.50 for a one way trip for seniors and the disabled, $2.00 for adults and students. The City provides same day service with a minimum 2 hour notice. For more information, or to reserve a ride, please call 988-4228.

To obtain information about transit and ADA Para transit services in other communities, please call 1-800-438-1112.
