Clean Power Alliance Soliciting Responses to Request for Qualifications

The Clean Power Alliance (CPA) is the new Joint Powers Authority/ Community Choice Aggregation program in Southern California. It currently has 31 member agencies – 29 municipalities and the unincorporated parts of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties – including Camarillo. Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), authorized in California under AB 117 (2002) and SB 790 (2011), allows local governments, including counties and cities, to purchase electricity in the wholesale power market and sell it to their residents and businesses as an alternative to electricity provided by an Investor Owned Utility. It is anticipated that Camarillo residents will be able to choose to receive their electrical power from either Southern California Edison (SCE) or CPA beginning in the late first or second quarter of 2019.

CPA is seeking Statements of Qualifications from individuals or firms in specific professional areas necessary to assist CPA in operating the Alliance.
