Camarillo, California – The City of Camarillo’s Water Division has completed its Annual Water Quality Report for 2019, which demonstrates that the City of Camarillo continues its long tradition of delivering high quality water to its customers that is clean and safe.
In order to ensure that tap water is safe to drink, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) and the State Water Resources Control Board prescribes regulations that limit the amount of contaminants in water provided by public water systems. The State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water, requires all local governments to certify a consumer confidence report annually to document the results of water quality testing.
Our water is monitored for the presence of various substances on a very strict sampling schedule. The City’s Annual Water Quality Report for 2019 documents all water quality testing performed between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019, disclosing the substances that were detected in our water. It is important to note that detecting a substance does not mean that water is unsafe to drink. The City aims to keep all detected substances below their respective maximum allowed levels.
